Nicole doesn’t come at you with a lot of soft tones and therapy speak. She knows how to do that, but more importantly she knows how to connect. She is thoughtful, encouraging, reasonable, and consistent.
Nicole has guided me through anxiety, depression, and grief. She’s been a champion of the best parts of me when I didn’t feel I could be that for myself. She’s taught me how to soften the edges and manage my anger. She has helped me understand that the things I thought were negative about myself can also have a positive side. Being sensitive isn’t all bad!
Nicole has seen me through a lot of ups and downs. During that time she’s provided me with the best possible care. She understands who I am and how I’m built, and she’s helped me understand that as well.
My mother (who I’ve known since birth!) often commented on how much I had changed. These positive changes brought me closer to my mother, and even encouraged my mom to seek out her own therapist.
When I first met Nicole, it felt like she sensed a version of me I couldn’t yet imagine. Our work together was often difficult, but I always felt safe and seen. Whenever I’d say, “I can’t,” she’d invite me to say, “I won’t,” helping me own my choices and find my strength. With her steady support, I gradually became someone who truly loves life and living it. I’m deeply grateful for her faith in me, especially when I struggled to find it in myself.
